Sofia was Platinum Sponsor of Offshore Wind North East 2018, the North East’s premier annual offshore wind event. The conference and exhibition held at the Xcel Centre in County Durham showcased the North East’s strong and diverse cluster of innovative and collaborative supply chain companies.
Organised by NOF, in conjunction with Energi Coast, the conference featured presentations from innogy, as well as panel discussions covering issues such as disruptive innovation and the role of digitalisation in the sector.
It was the cornerstone of a week of regional activities that included facility tours of some of North East’s supply chain companies by VIP delegates who came from across the world, and a Sofia supply chain workshop.
Sofia’s David Few said: “It was encouraging to see so many delegates and exhibitors at the event, which is a sign of the robust and optimistic nature of the industry. The whole week was an excellent catalyst for conversations that have the potential to lead to mutually beneficial opportunities.”
