Applications for these exciting roles close 26 May 2023

More than 20 new offshore wind turbine technicians are now being sought by RWE for the operational phase of its largest under construction project, 1.4 gigawatt Sofia Offshore Wind Farm.

Advertisements are live for the positions which represent a major opportunity for those seeking a career with one of the world’s leading energy companies on one of the world’s largest single offshore wind projects, sited on Dogger Bank in the central North Sea.

Under the service and maintenance agreement Sofia has with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), RWE will provide up to half of the required wind turbine technicians. These roles are now being advertised to ensure the new recruits will have time to be trained and gain the necessary experience before full deployment on Sofia in readiness for first electricity generation in 2025.

The roles have a strong health and safety focus and require people with either offshore wind, or similar, industry experience plus the ability to work at heights and spend extended periods at sea.

The recruits will work out of RWE’s Grimsby Hub in the Port of Grimsby on the newly announced service operations vessel (SOV) to be provided by Acta Marine.

Applications for the new roles are open until Friday 26 May 2023 on the Careers Page of the RWE website.
