Van Oord onboard for Sofia foundations and array cables
Contract includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the project's monopile foundations and array cables.

Van Oord confirmed for Sofia works
Contract signings have been coming at a pace this week since Sofia received its positive financial investment decision with the latest being with marine contractor Van Oord.
Netherlands-based Van Oord has been contracted for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of the monopile foundations and array cables for 1.4GW Sofia.
Offshore installation vessel Aeolus (pictured top) will install the 100 extended monopile foundations without transition pieces while the 350 kilometres of array cables will be installed by cable-laying vessel Nexus.
