RWE Renewables is a Strategic Partner at this year's virtual Global Offshore Wind and Sofia team members will play a key role.
Helen Thomas, Sofia's Supply Chain Plan Manager and Nader Beltaji, Project Management Officer Manager will represent the project as Event Industry Champions, providing insights into their experiences.
As part of his role, Nader published a blog here on his switch from oil & gas to offshore wind, a path many are likely to find of interest.
At 10.45 on Thursday 29 October, in a session called RWE: Working with the Supply Chain, virtual visitors to the Supply Chain Theatre will be able to hear about RWE's global ambitions and current portfolio, working with the supply chain – including the soon-to-be constructed Sofia, sited on Dogger Bank in the North Sea
Sofia's procurement team will present on the project's supply chain approach and offer insights into common mistakes and how to improve chances to win contracts. Sofia's preferred HVDC supplier, GE’s Grid Solutions will also be on virtual stage presenting the comapny's approach to procurement, upcoming opportunities and grid solutions.
As well as Event Industry Champion Helen Thomas, speakers will be: Director Offshore Development Europe at RWE, Richard Sandford; Sofia's Procurement Lead, Mike Nolan and GE's Executive Commercial Leader, Neil Beardsmore.
Around 100 exhibitors will take part in the exhibition, including RWE Renewables, with Sofia team members staffing the stand to answers delegate queries. More than 300 speakers will be participating in the event, which will be fully online for the first time.
