The joint planning application that was submitted in July by Sofia and Dogger Bank C to make a number of onshore route amendments has received planning permission from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council.
The application proposed some minor changes to the consented onshore works, including routing of the onshore cables, and to the number and location of temporary construction compounds, and their accesses. It relates to five areas of the onshore cable route and ancillary works.
Sofia’s Senior Consents Manager, Kim Gauld-Clark said that the planning permission was the culmination of a significant effort from both the Sofia and Dogger Bank C teams and, as well as streamlining the works required, will also reduce possible impacts on local stakeholders.
