We joined Energi Coast at their stand at the British Forces Resettlement Services National Employment and Careers Fair in Catterick, North Yorkshire to showcase the benefits of a career in offshore wind to attendees, who were there to assess their post-services careers options.
More than 300 attendees showed a high level of interest in the offshore wind sector, some who were there specifically to talk to us, others who had not even considered it as an option.
innogy’s Adrian Emanuel, who is ex-Forces himself, said: “We had a good throughput over the day and I am sure we were able to give a good impression of offshore wind as a future career”.
Energi Coast’s Caroline Lofthouse said: “It worked really well having innogy as a developer on the stand, along with AIS as a training provider and was a great example of the North East cluster supporting the skills agenda.”
