Joining with sister project Triton Knoll, Sofia team members attended the Grimsby Renewables Partnership Conference in early 2019 to present operations and maintenance opportunities to local suppliers and join in a meet-the-buyer event. innogy speakers gave presentations on the projects and the team took part in a series of one-to-one meetings with suppliers to find out more about their services.
Sofia also hosted an ‘innovation corner’ at the event, which was a new approach by an innogy project, to enable local business to present their new technologies and ideas that may be relevant to the project. A number of concepts were presented to the team for follow-up.
innogy’s stand included its 3D facilities that allow visitors to take a ‘virtual trip’ to an offshore wind farm.
