In June 2019, Sofia’s Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Andy Barwise ran an offshore wind workshop for Year 12 students as part of Teesside University’s STEMulate 12 initiative.
The STEMulate12 events provide a unique opportunity for students to participate in interactive workshops available across science, computing, engineering, design, and other disciplines and to hear from employers, graduates and current students on careers and the journey from school/college through university to a job.
Andy said: “ It was a great day from my side, so I hope they enjoyed it too. A lot of students who all seemed pretty interested and nothing was thrown at me!”
