New graduate Elsa joins the Sofia team

Sofia’s third graduate, Elsa Lamb has joined the project to work closely with the consents team across all disciplines including onshore and offshore consents, land transactions, environmental management and supply chain plan.

This 12-month placement for Elsa will give her a wide range of experiences in an industry for which she has a strong affinity, saying: “I’ve been keen to seek roles within a sector that promotes sustainability, reduces carbon emissions, and ultimately tackling climate change.”

Elsa has recently finished her undergraduate degree and graduated from the University of Plymouth, with a BSc in Marine Biology and Oceanography.

As part of her degree, she completed a placement year and worked as a research assistant for the Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Laboratory in Limassol, Cyprus.

“My dissertation focussed on spillover effects of fish species at two protected areas in the Mediterranean. The project was completed in collaboration with MER, using data collected during my internship.

"I am also hoping to complete a Master’s degree in Science Communication or similar in the next few years.”

Elsa follows Sofia’s previous two graduates Phoebe Meredith and Jordan O’Neill, both who have continued in the sector with most recently Jordan moving to RWE’s Celtic Sea project.
